Joerg has been active in cardiac surgery for over fifteen years focusing on innovative treatment strategies for patients with heart disease. He has special interest in minimal invasive heart valve surgery and transcatheter techniques. He holds a medical degree from the Eberhard-Karls University Tübingen in Germany, has been appointed full university professor at University Leipzig from 2013 till 2019 and in addition holds an MBA degree from Technical University Dresden/ DIU. He founded HMS medical GmbH in order to bring ideas from doctors to life! Jan has been in the medical device industry and automotive industry for nearly twenty years. He has been extensively involved in the conception and development of numerous innovations especially in catheter based vascular treatments and spinal instruments and implants. He holds several patents and has helped to bring a whole bunch of successful medical and automotive devices into the market. He holds an engineering degree from Technical University of Applied Sciences in Karlsruhe. He has joined HMS medical to provide his extensive technical background in order to make doctors ideas come true!
